Your day begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel. You’ll then travel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to the ancient city of Luxor, nestled along the banks of the Nile.

Upon arriving on Luxor’s west bank, your first sight will be the towering Colossi of Memnon, welcoming all who venture into the realm of ancient Thebes. Nearby lies the legendary Valley of the Kings, along with many awe-inspiring temples built by Egypt’s powerful pharaohs.

Marvel at these grand monuments, including the remains of a once-glorious temple built by Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Also notable are the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of Ramses the Great, and the stunning rock-cut temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari — a masterpiece of ancient architecture.

Close by, you’ll see the ruins of the old village of Qurna, once constructed directly atop ancient tombs.

Continue your journey to the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll explore beautifully decorated royal tombs carved deep into the rocky hills. Among them is the world-famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. Each tomb is adorned with vivid, colorful reliefs and hieroglyphics that remain remarkably preserved — as though painted only yesterday.

At midday, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor.
